GM5 — Give Me Five
About GM5

Building a more connected world, one conversation at a time.

At Give Me Five, we believe emotional wellbeing begins long before a person reaches a crisis. Our mission is to help people build healthier emotional habits, strengthen meaningful human connections, and create communities where individuals feel seen, heard and encouraged every day.

Why GM5 exists

Prevention begins with connection.

Communities are too often forced to respond to crises because people reach breaking point before anyone recognizes the warning signs.

Many emotional challenges develop gradually over time. By encouraging regular reflection and healthy routines, GM5 helps people better understand their emotional wellbeing and recognize changes that may benefit from additional support.

We are building more than a wellbeing app — we are creating a global platform that empowers people to recognize changes in their emotional wellbeing, develop resilience, and stay connected with trusted support networks through practical, evidence-informed tools.

Every feature is guided by one belief: prevention begins with connection.

Our story

The inspiration behind Give Me Five.

  1. The observation

    San Francisco

While travelling through San Francisco, founders Brendan and Phil relied on the city's train network and witnessed repeated incidents involving young people in severe emotional distress — and mothers and volunteers patrolling stations to prevent another tragedy.

  2. The question

    Before breaking point

Communities were responding to crises because too many people reached breaking point before anyone recognized the warning signs. What if technology could help people notice emotional changes earlier?

  3. The framework

    Clinical partnership

Brendan partnered with Dr. Lisa, whose two decades in behavioural support and the NDIS sector shaped the platform's wellbeing framework.

  4. Today

    A platform, still evolving

GM5 continues to evolve with the purpose that inspired it — to help people feel supported before they feel alone.
